I’ll investigate my predecessor, Governor Kefas

Dr. Agbu Kefas, the governor of Taraba state, declared on Saturday that he was prepared to look into the eight years’ worth of financial dealings by previous Governor Darius Ishaku.

Kefas said this while speaking with reporters at the Taraba state government building in Jalingo.

The governor declared that he was closely studying and reading the handover notes from the recently concluded government regarding its financial operations.

In response to inquiries from journalists, he stated that as the State Auditors already function at the level of state ministries, there was no need to create a Judicial Commission of Enquiry to look into the operations.

“We will look into the actions of the previous administration when it is required, and we won’t be afraid to ask questions because we are aware of contacts and commissions.

Government is a continual activity, but before we start working on the unfinished projects that were commissioned, we will investigate the projects.
